March 2015: Becker #2

March 2015: Jason and Laura Becker are 66.

 

With a large mostly empty house for a while now I always loves to entertain. What better reason than our 40^th wedding anniversary.

We started the evening with having the old gang over for dinner; Kevin, Holly, Andrew and Kerry.

Then the family came over for a party after dinner. 

After the party it was nice to get back to our usual routine.

Spring 2012: Becker #2

Spring 2012: Dylan Becker is 82, Jason and Laura Becker are 62.


Jason: My Mum has spend a lot of time lately on the phone with her grand kids. She loves to know what's going on in there lives and I'm sure that they tell her stuff that they won't tell anyone else.



It's nice to spend the evenings playing pool with Laura and my Mum. It was one of the best things we ever did to build the games room.



One weekend Sarah came over to visit with Molly. Korey was busy with work.



Mum loves spending time with Molly, she's the only grandchild left that hasn't fully grown up yet.



Molly loves spending time with her grandmother, she really is the only one that will still play silly games with her.



Korey did manage to make it for dinner later. I really should have Sarah and the family over more often.



Diana has always had a close relationship with her grandmother. When she was home for a weekend she came over to visit. I guess my Mum really is still a kid at heart, I don't think anyone else can get Diana to have pillow fights anymore but her.



That night when Diana was over ended up being very sad, My Mum passed away that night. I think she knew it was coming as she had spoken with all of her grandchildren, if not seen them all that week.



Laura is trying to keep going as normal but I will often break down. I'm really going to miss having my Mum around.

Fall 2010: Becker #2

Fall 2010: Dylan Becker is 81, Korey Lind, Jason and Laura Becker are 61, Sarah Lind is 56, Daniel Becker is 21, Hannah Becker is 19, Brandon Becker and Diana Lind are 18 and Molly Lind is 6.


Dylan: I don't know what the fascination is but I just can't seem to pry myself away from watching the neighborhood. I think Brittany Upsnott is back home again, they live in the green house down the street.




I invited Sarah and Korey over for dinner the other night, it was nice to have the kids around and just listen t their conversations. One would often think of Korey as a dandy with all his preening but he does take care of Sarah, he's always wanting to pamper her.




Dinner wasn't anything special, just a roast chicken but I love cooking for a full house.




I decided it was time for a party so we made it a family party and invited all the grand kids. Diana hasn't decided what she wants to major in at University. She wants to be a fashion designer and she's not sure if she should to Art or Business.




I sware sometimes I can feel Even around, especially when the whole family is together.




None of the kids brought their girlfriends with them, I guess that would have been too much to ask right around mid-terms. Diana seems ok, she is living in the same dorm as Frederick this year, she hasn't said anything about it but I think she's coping well.




I have five wonderful grandchildren but every now and then I think it would be nice to have another one. Laura's defiantly too old but I wonder if Sarah is, she's 56.... I think I'm just being silly in my old age.




Molly and Jason love the water, it was a nice fall evening and we do keep the pool heated so the two of them headed out to play in the water.




All in all it was a great party. I love to see all my family but it's nice to have a quiet house again.
