December 2014: Upsnott

December 2014: Kenneth and Brittany are 58, Alexis Upsnott is 6

Kenneth:  Brittany leaves for work just as Alexis  is getting up. She will always run to give her Mum a hug before she leaves for work.

Once Alexis has gone off to school I will spend half and hour and eat my breakfast before heading to the study to work on my current book.

I have finished my latest book, now time to send it off to the publisher and see how she sells.

Alexis is very good about doing her homework. Usually she will get it all done when she arrives home. Some days she will finish it up before going to school.

With the Christmas break here, we all get to sleep in a bit.

Like on the weekends I will make breakfast for everyone most days of the holiday'

The weather hasn't been all that cold so we have spent a few days out at the park so Alexis can go skating.

This year was our turn to host Christmas dinner.  We even invited Madison's family this year.

We did it as a buffet dinner.  With so many people there just wasn't enough room at the table for everyone to eat in one spot.

Like many parties in the past ours was brought to a close by the police.  (I don't know what it is with this family but most parties they have end with the police showing up, at least this time the came right as the party was ending)

May 2014: Birthday's and Graduations

Loren has entered her 2nd trimester and is feeling a lot better about her future now that things with Brandon are on their way back to  where they were.

Ivy is finding things getting a lot harder to do now she is in her 3rd trimester.  She is having a lot more back ache and sitting on the floor playing with Chloe doesn't help.

Liam Lind is now 1 year old.

There are four graduates form Chantilly Academy this year all will be attending Sim State University in the fall.  Penny McArthur will be entering the Dance program.  Gabriella Gorey will be entering the Fashion Design program.  Stewart Newson and Colin Pitts will be taking Political Science.

Brandon Becker had taken a small one bedroom apartment in the same building that Loren lives in so he can help out with anything she needs during the pregnancy and when the baby is born.

Diana Lind had been looking forward to moving to downtown Chantilly but a job came up at a new restaurant The Crab Shack in Chantilly Beach.  While at her job interview Diana found a small one bedroom  house that she was able to buy with a little help from her parents.

Madison Mather and Anthony Upsnott have moved back to Chantilly and have an apartment much to Anthony's parents dismay (they were hoping the couple would be moving into the family home).

Tamara has graduated with an art degree and is now working at the public school in downtown Chantilly as the art teacher.  Jacob has one more year at Sim State so they have a one bedroom apartment near the University campus.

Summer 2010: Upsnott

Summer 2010: Brittany and Ken Upsnott are 55, Anthony Upsnott and Madison Mather are 17.

Anthony: Dad finally convinced Mum to go to the doctor about her eating problems.




She still doesn't think it's too much of a problem. "I love food, I really do" By the end of the session with Dr Harris they had Mum convinced to go to a facility to help her deal with her eating problem. She will probably be there most of the summer.




I went with Mum to see that she got settled in alright. She didn't want to let go when I went to hug her goodbye. I was also headed off to camp for a week.




Mum writes to tell me how boring the group sessions are. She said she almost fell asleep at one of them.




For the first two weeks she tried to convince everyone that she wasn't sick. The therapist was getting really upset with her. "Why did you come to therapy if you don't think you have a problem!."




She still does the "I'm hungry bit" but then won't go a get any food.




I think when it finally hit her she just fell apart.




Next thing they knew Mum was cooking a Turkey dinner for everyone in therapy.




I felt bad leaving dad alone with Alexis but he reassured me that going to camp would be good for me. I would have a good time, it had been a rough year.




I think Dad spent a lot of time on his next book. Well that and spending time with Alexis.




The day I came back from camp I was so tired I just went right to bed.




The next morning Alexis was begging me to play in the bath with her. She could spend hours in the tub. It hit me while I was bathing her that I'm going to miss a lot of her growing up when I go to University.




I find it a little depressing at home so I often go over to Madison's house during the day.




With Madison's mother's out at work all the time it's given us a lot of time to talk about stuff. We decided it was time to have sex. I hope it was as good for Madison as it was for me.




Mum came home in the middle of the day when Dad was out. He knew she was home the moment he walked in the door. She even had a plate of pancakes ready for a breakfast dinner. I don't think I've seen Dad this happy in years.
